My friend posted this on facebook last week and I thought it would count as research towards this project. I don’t even want to think about how many frames were used to create this, must have taken forever. Check it out anyway, all I can say is it’s really weird.

This is my track for the new project. My first reaction wasn’t that great as I’m not really a fan of jazz in general but after listening to it a few times I started to generate some ideas for my animation. As Johnny said a track you dislike would probably produce a more creative outcome opposed to a track you enjoy.
After college I had this idea that I wasn’t interested in animation and wasn’t looking forward to a module in it at university but after receiving the brief and watching some examples I don’t know why I disliked it so much. It turns out I’m actually quite looking forward to this project and what my final outcome will be. I’m not looking forward to the amount of illustrations we’ll have to do for the animations but I think it’ll pay off in the end when we have a 20-30 second animation we’ve fully produced ourselves. I’ve never done a full project on animation so I’m interested to see all the processes we can use and how to use all the software.
All 10 editions of my zine printed and handmade, finally. So happy to see the finished product.
Cut outs of all the illustrations and text I’m including in my zine. Influenced by Angela Davies the illustrations are different sizes so you can take them and unfold them yourself. I think this adds to the personal handmade feel of the zine.

This is my idea for my cover based on collections. I’ve decided to use different styles of text to fit in with the theme of a ‘collection’ of letters.
